Blumberg Award & Dittman Award Nominations

Each year the Education Foundation of Bridgewater-Raritan presents the Blumberg and Dittman Awards to individuals whose innovative methods and selfless dedication has enhanced the education of countless Bridgewater-Raritan students.

o nominate an individual for the Leonard & Adele Blumberg Award for Volunteerism and the Frank and Audrey Dittman Award for Excellence in Education, Download the application forms below, fill in all the requested information and follow the instructions on the form for returning to the Education Foundation of Bridgewater-Raritan. 

All applications will be acknowledged.  Award recipients (and those who nominated them) will be notified by phone.  Awards will be presented at individual functions to be scheduled later in the school year.

Leonard & Adele Blumberg Award Winners

The Education Foundation awards the Leonard & Adele Blumberg Award for Volunteerism annually to the individuals, whose selfless dedication to the students of the Bridgewater-Raritan School District, has greatly enhanced their educational experience.

The Blumberg Award was established in 1995 to honor Leonard Blumberg, who served on the Board of Education for many years - eight of those as President - and Adele Blumberg, who served for years in leadership positions in area scouting and started the PTO at the district High School.

Frank & Audrey Dittman Award Winners

The Education Foundation awards the Frank and Audrey Dittman Award for Excellence in Education each year to the individual, usually a district official or employee, who has worked tirelessly to promote the well-being of students both in and out of the classroom.

The Dittman Award was established in 1995 to honor Dr. Frank Dittman, a former Mayor of Bridgewater and President of the Town Council, and Audrey Dittman, a district teacher and former President of the Board of Education.
